Ferdinand
The Story of Ferdinand (1936) is the best-known work by the American author Munro Leaf. Illustrated by Robert Lawson, the children's book tells the story of a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. He sits in the middle of the bull ring failing to take heed of any of the provocations of the matador and others to fight. The Story of Ferdinand was published in 1936 by Viking Books.

Philosophies of Men
This autobiographical work uses a constructed abstract with narrative elements to create a dialogue with the viewer concerning the conflicted nature of information and opinion. The process of creating the work reflects its aim by developing a push and pull between applied ink which is added then removed through masks and cutting of the paper, only to be added back in again in multiple ways.
What Sayest Thou?

"Onward!"
This personal series explores the concept of resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. The figures are armored and ready for battle, grimacing against the challenges they face, continuing on with shouts of inner motivation.
